Towards a healthy, holistic, intergrated and sustainable tourism

Tapping from traditional tourism to develop local tourism through population engagement around education, Health and Environment.

Traditional tourists get their opportunity to enjoy, learn and share in the beauty of Uganda but also are given opportunity to share in community efforts of Education, Health and Environment, by either practically participating in an activity or donating towards the “tour-for-transformation” projects. These will help the nationals to tour to learn and change their environment, while also enjoying, learning and sharing at their level.

Target is: 100,000 internal tourists and 10 million trees each year.

Strategy: school children and youth from all over the country given opportunity to visit other areas on condition. Get sponsors for seedlings and transport. Get good coordination between schools to help make costs less and more exciting. Use music festivals and sports events, church or religious activities, political and social events of all kinds to be times of planting trees. We can.

Give the poor a chance. Help them engage in their economy thru environment and experiential learning thru touring and visiting other places and sharing experiences with others in different communities/parts of the country. Thru visiting and sharing in planting trees in different parts of the country, it gives them a national feel and ownership beyond their traditional mindset. Youth better own something in their country to feel they own it and are stakeholders as well.

Every citizen, every child, given an opportunity to plant a tree. Give me a seedling and i will plant it for you!
